Changes in Source Control While the CVS drop-in tree is still the primary place of development, new and future development is largely being done with GNU arch. Vendors are encouraged to do the same! Some rough advantages include Decentralized repository Others are encouraged to tag off of the "official" tree. Ability to do as much branching as desired. Advanced merging support, allowing for trivial merges between branches, or to and from the "official" tree.
